This T-shirt has popped-up on my social media feeds several
times over the past few days. It reads “Dads don’t babysit. (It’s called “Parenting”).
It was posted on Reddit and Facebook by the Dad Network.
Isn’t it considerate to give mom a break? Shouldn’t
the man be more active in their family life? Is it proper to assume the mum is
the primary parent? These are some of the reactions the message on the T-shirt has generated on the role of a father in raising his children.
Other users complained that there are other barriers to
equating the role of fathers to mothers in the society too such as baby
changing facilities in public places usually stationed in the ladies restroom.

ReplyDeleteIt's as if women are naturally blessed with the gift of doing it without feeling it. Men do it as well but very difficult and stressful. Abeg they should continue with it and d kitchen wahala while we concentrate more on hustling. Lolzzzzz
