Mother’s Day 2017

Mother’s day is the day for families to show their appreciation to their mothers, a day set aside to celebrate motherhood and the mother figures in our lives such as grandmothers, godmothers, etc.

Mother’s Day falls on different dates in different countries. In the UK, Ireland, Nigeria and some other countries, Mothering Sunday (as Mother’s day is also called) is celebrated on the fourth Sunday of Lent (the Christian period of fast) - precisely on the 3^rd Sunday before Easter Sunday.

Earlier last year, over three million Tommee Tippee cups (the type of the sippy cup in the image above and some other models) were recalled in the United States and Canada by the manufacturers for mould issues after a mum shared on Facebook a picture of a valve with black mould in it.
